Pet care experience
Hi! My name is Jenna, I'm 32, and a UC Berkeley Social Welfare graduate, starting school at USC in the Fall. I previously ran a youth center, have two cats and have been walking dogs for approximately one year. Your pet's comfort and and sense of ease is very important to me. Initially, I would prefer to let him or her lead our walks. A typical routine for me includes walking with bursts of running for conditioning. In addition, I will: 1. Talk to your pet 2. Massage his orher muscles 3. Make sure that his or her coat is brushed and paws are clean 4. Give you a text message update of your dog at the end of our visit Please feel free to contact me if you have any additional questions. Thanks for your time! Jenna

Jenna abandoned my senior cat during my Christmas travel. On the morning of her first visit to my home on December 22, I received the following message: “This pet sitting relationship isn’t working for me. Please contact someone else to take care of [my cat’s name].” I was 500 miles away grocery shopping for Christmas dinner to make for my 94 year old parents. I frantically called everyone I knew in the area, and messaged six other Rover care givers, but everyone was gone for the holidays. I pictured my cat afraid and starving all alone for three days and realized I would have to fly home and leave my family if I couldn’t find someone. I thought of calling my vet’s office, who recommended a former vet technician who now has a pet-sitting business. Luckily, she had availability for my cat on such short notice. She was very expensive, but necessary and very competent. She had to step in “sight unseen” and had no problems taking care of my cat. Also lucky, the sitter that came for one day the previous week still had a key and was willing to go to my home and leave a key under the mat, because I didn’t know when Jenna would return my key. She did return it later. Jenna and I met on two separate occasions before I chose her. I gave her three pages of details on the special needs my senior cat has and made sure she knew it would not be as easy as most cats. When she came to my home on the second meeting, I showed her everything that needed to be done and asked her to decide whether she was willing and able to take on the job. She said she could. I do not understand how anyone can be so cruel as to abandon a defenseless animal. I reported the incident to Rover and they refunded the balance of my payment, but did not offer to compensate me for the trouble she caused, or to take any disciplinary action. So this review is primarily to warn others of what could happen.
Jenna is such a kind soul! Sent photos throughout the day, updated me on their itinerary, if he took a nap. Overall awesome person to have sit Muddie. 🤗
If you need a cat person, Jenna is a great choice. Jenna watched our 2 kitties doing daily drop-ins and you can tell by the pictures that they (in that special cat tolerate human presence 😺😸 way) enjoyed her visits during this past Christmas week. We unexpectedly contracted Covid (no surprise I suppose) and needed to postpone our return. Jenna was ready, welling and able to help the kitties and us out. 😊🐈 Kitties and environment were well cared for...choose her as a reliable sitter choice! Thank you Jenna!
Jenna was really great with my dog. She met with mt dog prior to our scheduled dog sitting to go over my dog's schedule and habits. She was very attentive and I could tell how much she cared about animals. She kept me posted with pictures of my dog. She went above and beyond. She even washed and brushed my dog because he got muddy from being out in the rain. My dog was knocked out when he got home which is always a great sign that he had a great day. Thanks Jenna!
