Pet care experience
I've grown up with dogs and cats my entire life - I am a HUGE animal-lover! I live with my partner in a 4-bed apt in Ridgewood only 2 blocks from Grover Cleveland Park. We have an 8 year old female spayed hound mix that is very playful, is great with other animals, and is a huge sweetheart, so if you are looking for overnight stays, she's a great bunk-mate! We also have a 3 year old neutered retriever mix - he is also super friendly with other dogs and loves to play. I have many years of experience administering oral medications or providing any necessary grooming. I have cared for all different types of energy-levels, breeds, and ages of dogs/cats so trust that your pet is in good hands. I can't wait to meet your furry friend! 🐾

As I’m sure with most pet owners, we were apprehensive with leaving Potato, our 13 yo Lab Mix, with a stranger. But, from the very beginning, Jenna showed how capable she was with pets. Potato can be a bit cranky, especially with people he doesn’t know. And when he gets like that, he gets a little snarky, and growls. At our first meeting, this happened, Jenna quietly said “no”, and he backed down. Just a little. Just a bit. But, enough so that we immediately felt comfortable with her taking care of Potato. Of course, with Potato's idiosyncrasies, it wasn’t completely smooth sailing right away. But Jenna persevered and she got him out and on the walks. And sent pictures and videos to us regularly. She did a great job.
Jenna was great with our cat for several days while we were out of town, always sent photos and stayed the full half hour we booked for each visit. When we go home, she had left everything clean and as it was. Definitely recommend!

Cats - for 30 min drop ins I scoop the litter and then feed, water, and play with them. Boarding is on a case-by-case basis. Dogs - for boarding, dogs are usually on the same schedule as our dogs so they get fed at the same time. We have several rooms in the house so we can separate the dogs during feeding time if necessary. We take the dogs to the park in the morning and at night, and a midday walk around the neighborhood to get some sniffs in.

We will not accept male dogs that are not neutered. No exceptions. Rosie does not like being mounted and will growl if a male dog tries.
A typical day
I live in Ridgewood only two blocks from Grover Cleveland Park - I would love to take your dog there with Rosie and Rufus! They have off-leash hours before 9am and after 9pm so let me know if your pet is ok with being off-leash or not. I also have a plethora of dog toys and treats :)

Availability
I work evenings and my partner works mornings; our schedules are staggered so the dogs are never alone more than 4 hours in the afternoon so your pet will have plenty of attention and walks throughout the day.
