Pet care experience
Before becoming a high school teacher most of my life revolved around animals. I grew up helping my dad train our German shepherds and working with a local dog breeder. For 5 years during and after college I worked as both a kennel tech and vet tech doing everything from walking dogs and administering medications to scrubbing in on surgeries. I also managed an Iditarod sled dog kennel for several months. I have a lot of experience and genuinely love working with pups and being outside! I also love cats and have 2 of my own.

Jenna is personable, professional, and the dogs love her. There is no one I'd rather have take care of my dogs! And of course, her vet experience is great for added piece of mind.
Jenna was so good with Julio, my Pomeranian-husky mix. Most dog sitters do not know how to properly take care of this type of pup but Jenna did just a wonderful job. Instead of resorting to a kennel during family vacations, I will definitely be giving her a call instead. I would recommend her to any of my friends and fellow dog lovers. ?

I do not currently offer boarding at my home due to a lack of space, but am more than happy to house / pet sit at the home of clients.

I don't discriminate between breeds - all are welcome. I'm great with "problem" dogs. I would like to know if your dog has any serious allergies, aggressive behaviors, or trouble areas (i.e. paws being touched.) None of these are disqualifiers, it is just important to know when considering whether or not we will be a good fit and what activities we should do.
A typical day
I love taking pups to visit parks, and trails. Depending on what your dog is into I'm down to throw a ball, frisbee, etc. for at least an hour non-stop (looking at you, terrier parents.) I'm also pretty good at tug of war (according to my golden retriever.)

Availability
During the school year (which will end in June), I am available for evening walks during the week. On weekends, I am available all day. During the Summer, I will be available everyday, all day. I look forward to meeting you and your k9 friend!
