As someone who always grew up with animals, I have a strong desire to be surrounded by their company. I began taking care of animals (dogs, cats, birds, reptiles) at a young age, as we always had (at least one) dog(s) growing up and I wanted to assume the responsibility early. When I was ~12 years old I began caring for the neighbors' animals, walking and feeding them when their owners were busy and this evolved into a more regular job as I got older. Throughout high school, friends and friends of friends would rely on me to take care of their pets in my home or care for them in their own homes. I continued dog sitting throughout college and pharmacy school for more friends of friends, colleagues, preceptors, professors etc. With my background in pharmacy and my prior pet sitting experience, I can say I feel comfortable caring for dogs and cats that require insulin injections, oral medications, ear irrigations, as well as topically administered creams/ointments. I have taken care of dogs that were blind, diabetic, and had thyroid disease. My husband and I recently brought home our own sweet puppy, whom we trained ourselves using positive reinforcement. We (my husband, myself, and our sweet bernedoodle) will love on your pets as if they are our own and will care for them just as you would! We live in the city but love to take walks, go to parks, etc and we have a bark park on site. I currently work from home at least 2-3 days per week and my job is very flexible as needed. My husband works from home full-time. My dog LOVES to have other dogs around. While we don't have a fenced in yard, we do lots of walks and have a dog park on site. We have an extra large crate and a medium crate if needed and tons of beds and toys to keep the pups busy when we're not outside!
