Veterinary Nurse & Pet Sitter
Pet care experience
I have been taking care of animals my whole life, from my own pets, to fostering newborn puppies and kittens for the SPCA, to my current position as a veterinary nurse at a hospital here in Livermore, where I work with cats and dogs on a daily basis. Before starting this position, I graduated from Cal Poly with a degree in Pre-Veterinary Animal Science. Therefore, I feel well-prepared to handle any of your pet care needs, regardless of the degree of difficulty or complication. I am a very active person who loves to walk dogs, and would even love to take your dogs on a run!
Reviews
Jenna is a wonderful resource to have to watch our anxious pup. She's knowledgeable, communicative, and reliable - everything we could ask for!
Jenna took excellent care of my two boxers while I was away! I could tell they were happy and in Love with her from the pictures she shared! Always makes the trip better knowing your fur babies are taken care of! Will book her for the future for sure!
Jenna was great! She was so sweet and my pup immediately wanted all of her attention. He was perfectly relaxed and calm after a play session with Jenna ◡̈ I am definitely going to rebook her again!
Jenna watched our cat Tiny for a few nights and was very attentive, communicative, and thorough! Our cat has a special diet and supplement regimen and she was able to tackle it without trouble. We would absolutely book her again.

Safety, trust & environment
When it comes to taking care of your pet in your home, I will be sure to thoroughly understand any directions given and conduct care in a kind and patient manner. Having owned pets with both medical and behavioral abnormalities before, I completely relate to the anxiety of trusting someone else with their care, but I hope that I can ease some of that anxiety for you by doing my absolute best to honor all of your pet's needs. Of course, I will also be respectful of your home and belongings.
Information Jenna C. would like to know about your pet
I request that you let me know about any potential behavioral considerations I will need to take with your pet. I am very non-judgmental in these situations and I am not opposed to working with reactive animals and have extensive experience doing so. I do expect full transparency, however, and may not repeat services if I am not told beforehand about a potential issue. I am also very willing to work with animals with any sort of health issues, including those with necessary injections (like diabetes, for example). In these cases I require a detailed instruction sheet sent to me at least 24 hours prior to my visit and concrete confirmation that you will be available at any point during my services for questions. If I try to contact you about your pet's medical condition and you do not respond, I will seek out veterinary services at your expense.
A typical day
A typical day of pet sitting will depend on your pets favorite activities! If your pet loves to be active, a day may include walks, runs, fetch in the backyard, or trips to the park. Of course, the degree of strenuous activity will be adjusted appropriately to match each individual's current abilities and needs. If they prefer relaxing, I am happy to provide them company as they do so!

Availability
I have a full-time, 8-5 M-F position as a veterinary nurse in Livermore. However, I have a 90 minute break in the middle of every day during which I would be happy to stop by and take care of your pets. Of course, if house sitting, I can make visits any time before and after my shifts as well. I am completely free on the weekends.
