My dog Judy is friendly and a lover of many kinds of dogs. However, she's a little nervous around large dominant females or strong and forward dominant dogs in general. She LOVES playful submissive or neutral dogs of small - 60 lbs. My cat Effie is small, active, and playful so dogs that can engage w her or ignore her are great. She usually just does a few zoomy drive-bys when she’s in the mood. Uninterested or friendly dogs work great but overly interested or aggressive are a no-go for her. My home has a doggy door to the fenced back yard that most all dogs under 60 pounds can fit through, so even if I'm not home they can still get some fresh air and a break. I take my dog out for walks and often times to a local park to play fetch. I've also had more laid back or senior dogs around my active dog, and she learns when to take a hint and give lots of space.
