Pet care experience
Dogs and owners alike love knowing that I have experience with many different breeds in variety of settings. As a former vet tech, I have learned to expect the unexpected and be prepared for everything! I am comfortable administering medications, giving nail trims, anal gland expression, and bathing. I am offering these grooming services for extra charge, so let me know if your pup needs anything extra! In addition to being a vet tech and kennel tech, I’ve also been a volunteer and foster puppy parent for Saving Grace, a local animal shelter. I’ve fostered about 15 adult dogs and 12 litters of puppies over the last two years. (Note that I won’t be fostering any animals when taking care of your pup.) I’ve really enjoyed the experience that I’ve gained from helping animals out, so becoming a pet sitter was a very natural decision for me! Although I’ll be the primary caregiver to your pup, I also live with my husband David. He works from home and will be helping me with my dog sitting adventures! I think we make a pretty good team together! He is a great dog dad and will treat your dog like our own. We are truly “dog people.” We also have two sweet dogs of our own (both female) that we adopted from the SPCA three years ago, so your pup will have endless amounts of fun around them! I will be home with your pup for the majority of the day. If I have to step out, my husband will be here as he works from home. Any dogs under my care will have supervised playtime with my dogs in the backyard, so they’ll be able to have lots of fun together. They will also be able to snuggle up inside after playtime or if the weather is bad. No matter what, however, your pooch will always have a human presence around them. That means we’re a good fit for pups that like having their owners around during the day too. Our backyard is fenced in and huge! We have about an acre lot that is great for running in and playing fetch. Our home is dog friendly too! We don’t limit our canine friends to one room, we just ask that they stay in a crate at night or if I need to step out of the house for a few minutes during the day. Many of our neighbors have dogs and we have a nice sized neighborhood for walks as well. Our neighborhood is called Litchford Forest, and it features lots of great stuff to sniff and explore.

Cosmo's stay with Jenn & David was just what we needed! My pup left my house a wild child and returned not needing a crate. You can tell they are passionate about dogs and genuinely engaged and treated my dog like their own. She sends great pics and videos daily. I felt relaxed and easy-going about my dog's whereabouts. I can tell Cosmo got tons of exercise with their dogs. They kindly gave him a bath and washed his belongings before pick up. They're knowledgable, kind and professional. Five stars from Cosmo & Crew. Highly recommend them!!!
Jen was great and I absolutely trust leaving Indi with her!! She was awesome and took great care of Indi. Indi had a blast in their back yard and took naps with the crew :))

First off, our house rules are very “dog friendly”--dogs are allowed on the furniture. We do ask that dogs that stay with us are crated at night. And though we only accommodate one family of animals at a time, we'd be happy to host two dogs from one family! Some other things I like to learn ahead of time: Would you like to schedule a meet-and-greet before the stay? What’s your preferred method of communication? Does your pup have any health issues that need to be tended to? For instance, dietary restrictions, medicine, or behavior triggers? Do you have a vet nearby that you trust? Is your dog spayed/neutered? Does your pup like to stick to a given schedule, like regular walks in the morning and evening? What does your pup do well around? What does your pup try to avoid? What’s the best way to spoil your pup?
A typical day
Having lots of fun together is the name of my game! I know that a healthy dog is a happy dog, so we’ll make sure to spend lots of time getting exercise in or supervising playtime with our own dogs. I’m happy to walk around the neighborhood to stretch our legs or go for a longer walk for some real exercise! There are plenty of parks in the neighborhood that will be perfect for exploration or playtime as well. Plus, I know that dogs are creatures of habit, so I’ll always adhere to the regimen that your dog is used to at home. That means their meal times, potty breaks, and exercise schedules.
