EXPERIENCED SITTER (fully remote)
Pet care experience
I've had pets of my own my whole life. I've always loved animals and have been house/pet sitting since I was in junior high, not full time of course, but on and off throughout the years, more so in the last few years as an international house-sitter looking after pets and homes in various countries (Middle East and Europe so far). When I last lived in Brooklyn I used Rover (and other apps I won't mention ;) to walk dogs and occasionally house-sit. I've cared for or walked lots of different kinds of dogs from Chihuahuas to a Grate Danes, lazy to crazy, calm to anxious, young to old. I've cared for a dog with a bad back that had to be carried down the steps before our walks, cats that needed medication on a strict schedule in both pill and shot form, have had mishaps happen and handled them well. I'm no dog whisperer but I've always been comfortable around them and even the super anxious ones become fast friends.
Reviews
Jenima truly helped me out on a last minute circumstance. She was super responsive and able to accommodate a last minute meet-and-greet before a stretch of drop-in visits/walks for my Aussie. She’s a natural with dogs and helped my Aussie burn off extra energy during their walks. Totally would rebook. The best!
Great route choice! Thanks for letting me know about Gator not peeing - he likes to pee on/against things, so try letting him walk along walls today. Also, when he has to poop he'll circle around in one spot for a while - sometimes nearly a minute! Watch out for that in case he feels like going today.
Súper communicative and accommodating to my dog’s needs.
Jenima is an attentive, punctual, communicative, and trustworthy caretaker for our dog. We’ve entrusted her to ours on several occasions and have been pleased every time.

I've been doing international housesits for a few years now including longer termed sits, the longest so far being nearly 6 weeks. Currently I can only offer pet care in the pets home. I take great care in looking after your fur-child(ren) and your home. As a pet parent myself, I've had house-sitters stay in my home and for a few years I was also an Airbnb host (Superhost actually) so I know what it's like to have near strangers in your home and I always keep that in mind when I'm that stranger to someone else. I'm clean and respectful of the space and neighbors. I communicate when an issue arrises but also know enough about home care to be able to take care of the little things, I'm quite handy and resourceful in general. Happy to water your plants of course. The same goes for pets, I've done this long enough to notice changes in behavior and would communicate anything that seems concerning.
Information Jenima H. would like to know about your pet
I will be between NYC and Baltimore for a few months with some trips to Cincinnati in there so reach out if you're in those areas and need a house sitter, I might be able to organize my schedule around your needs. All I ask is for transparency about your pets needs and behaviors, it's just better for everyone going into it if the sitter is aware that if, for example, a puppy isn’t fully potty trained, or the dog barks a lot, they hate cats with a passion, are super anxious or protective when someone is at the door, or might get into your things. Non of which are dealbreakers, it's just best to be honest from the start, as a sitter it's easier to avoid/handle difficult situations when you know a particular behavior is common for the pet.
A typical day
I work (remote) 4-8 hrs 4-5 days a week so I’ll be able to keep your pet(s) company at home most days but outside of that it really depends on the dog(s) needs, the environmental resources, climate even but generally speaking I love to go for long walks if they can handle it, explore different routes if they're up for it, find a park to sit in or a dog park they can run around and socialize in (if that's something they like). Of course if they like or need to play to burn energy, or if you want them to keep up with training I'm here for that!

I'm a fully remote freelancer with a flexible schedule and I love animals so it is pretty easy to fit pet care into my schedule and if I have to adjust my routine a bit to fit the animals needs I'm not just okay with it, I'm pretty used to it.
