Specialized care and dog walking!

Pet care experience

I LOVE dogs! I make friends with every dog I meet, and I absolutely love my job working with them every single day. I have the experience and education to give your dog the best care, and the most fun walk or visit when you can't be there. I have experience with big and small dogs, young pups, and distinguished elders. I have cared for bouncy, high energy dogs, and those with special needs that require a slower, calm pace and extra care. I also provide management walks for leash reactive dogs who may get nervous or overly excited by other dogs or stimuli while on leash. Whatever the case, after our walk or visit your pup will be relaxed and happy, and more able to wait patiently for you to get home. I am a Dog*Tec Certified Dog Walker, with dog training experience and education in animal behavior. I also have experience as a veterinary assistant at a busy, local practice. I am comfortable administering medication for your pet while you're away. My dog Zula and I are a current dog/handler team in training with the King County Search and Rescue Search Dog unit. Working with dogs is my passion, not my hobby! Thank you for entrusting the care of your beloved friend to me in your absence!

A typical day

I will never scold, jerk, or drag your dog! Ever! My two main tools of the trade are Patience and Positive Reinforcement. It is important to me that your dog always has a positive experience when we are out together. Your pup will get a walk tailored to his or her individual needs. We’ll take fun, sniffy strolls that engage her mind, or quick paced jaunts that stretch his legs a little more. I always strive to engage your dog in different ways in order to make the most of our time together! On a home visit, I'll take care of the necessities (medication, food/water, etc.) and then we'll play some games! I employ fun training games, nose work, or flat-out fetch to keep your dog engaged and burn some of that energy that builds up during the day.
