I often joke that I have more dog friends than people friends. My love for dogs started at home where I have always had pet Golden Retrievers. My dog-crazy family even had 3 goldens at once! Early on in my teen years my parents trusted me to care for our dogs on my own. I am now 23 years old, and I have lots of experience in looking after and caring for dogs. I volunteer with Paws and Affection (P&A): a service dog training organization that seeks to place their dogs with children with disabilities. In the fall I will be starting grad school for Physical therapy, so P&A's mission really combines two of my passions, dogs and helping people! Over my time with P&A I have worked with 9 different dogs ranging from 2 months old to 2 years old. At P&A I have also gained experience and skills in puppy training. I am energetic and athletic and I love to run around and play fetch or tug with dogs, this way we both can get our exercise in. Additionally, I have experience pet-sitting for the families I babysit for and I am looking to expand my network for pet sitting!
