As the President of a small dog rescue organization, I have cared for over 500 small dogs from puppies to seniors, some healthy and others with special needs. Pet sitting your small (20lbs or less) dog in my home provides you an alternative to a cold, impersonal kennel for your dog while you travel. Whether for business or pleasure, go on your trip knowing that your dog is at 'home away from home'. About this sitter: As President and founder of Rescue Me - Yorkie Rescue and Paws in Safe Hands dog sitting, I have extensive knowledge and experience with small dogs, primarily Yorkshire Terriers. Caring for over 500 small dogs cumulatively, I have gained knowledge and experience related to behavior modification as well as a wide variety of medical needs. Diabetes, Pancreatitis, Kidney and Heart Failure, Epilepsy, Liver Shunts and Geriatric care can all be managed when your dog is 'home away from home'. Why I love dog sitting I've been around animals my whole life and have had pets since I was a small child. I gave up the corporate lifestyle in 2003 and have been working with small dogs full-time since then - the best decision I've ever made! Meet my pets I have two small dogs, all under 10 pounds, that live in my home. The entrance to my home and my backyard are both secure so that once your pup is here, you don't have to worry about anyone getting loose. I have no children so my dogs are my kids and when your dogs are here, they are treated the same - with tender loving care! About my yard My back yard is small but appropriate for small dogs to potty. Walks, weather permitting can always be fit in! My experience administering medication Yes - running a Yorkie rescue for more than 9 years, I have gained a lot of knowledge and experience with dogs and their medical needs. I can administer injections (vaccines, insulin, fluids), oral meds, special food and can manage elderly/special needs dogs as well.

I use Jen for all my dog sitting needs. She has always taken great care of my dogs including special attention to my elderly dog who was having trouble getting around. She watches them in her home and I never have to worry while I am away. She also does great grooming. I would highly recommend her.
I cannot rave enough about Jen. She is the ultimate dog sitter and my dogs absolutely love her as do we. She really goes above and beyond. We would not take vacation if Jen could not sit for our dogs. With Jen I can go away with a clear head and not worry. The first time we used her-we were in Mexico and she texted and emailed us to keep us informed that they were all doing great. We trust her completely with our dogs and our home. Jen is our dog whisperer and I would recommend her to anyone (just not for our week that we take vacation) I could not bare to lose her. We have 9 dogs and she had learned all there names and their little perks the first time she sat for our fur babies. She even gave us tips in order for our dogs to lose some weight which they did and therefore are healthier because of it. Woof Woof.
We have used Jen for several years and love her. We are very particular with who we leave and trust our little "boys" with. We have no concerns or worries when Jen is petsitting for us. We love that she does not put them in crates. Jen gives great individual care to each dog. Our dogs love her! We now live in Delaware and it is a bit of a drive but we still would not consider leaving them with anyone else. She is the best!
Jen Quigley is the most trustworthy dog sitter I know. She is an animal lover. She is the only person I completely trust my dogs with. I travel over an hour to have her watch my dogs and would not even entertain having them stay in a kennel. When I drop the dogs at Jen's they barely say good-bye to me that's the best testimonial of how my dogs feel when they're with Jen. They love her. She is their second home.

A typical day
Here's where we'll take our walks Throughout my development, sometimes to my parents house who have a full acre fenced in so the dogs can run around a huge area with no leash. Your dog's sleeping arrangement Some dogs like to sleep in our bed, some in a dog bed on the floor and others in crates - whatever will make your dog most comfortable is what we will do! Time I'll spend with your dog I only leave my home for short periods of time and don't leave the dogs for periods beyond four hours, which is not often.
