Pet care experience
I grew up on a ranch with dogs, cats, horses, cows, goats, and pigs. As an adult, while raising my own dog, Kitty, who passed away in 2019, I became a certified dog trainer, (partially so I could always have her with me at work.) I then became a full-time dog and pet sitter, which I have done for the past 7 years. Relocating to Molalla + the pandemic meant losing quite a few of my clients, so I have room in my schedule for some fresh furry faces!

Over the course of 5 years, Jenny has been my primary pet care specialist and she’s incredible in every way. Mindful of my pet needs, thoughtful to the specific rules for the animal/house she stayed in, excellent communicator and the most reliable caregiver I’ve ever met. My pets are my family and she understands my high maintence needs too! I feel lucky to have had such great, thoughtful care over the years. If you can book her, you would be lucky too.

Because I live on a property with 4 other big dogs & 4 cats, and I live in a house with predominantly cat people, I have been asked to stick to care in others' homes for now. I keep an eagle eye out for choking hazards (most necessary for puppy age) or possible escape routes.

It's important to know what their day typically looks like, their vet information, where everything is located, (the door they typically use to go out, where their food is kept and how much they're fed,) and any behavioural quirks!
A typical day
Activities depend entirely upon the dog(s)! Some dogs love to run and jump and play, some dogs prefer cuddles or companionable silences. I'm up for both and all! We can go for walks in nearby parks, we can watch movies together, we can eat meals together, we can play with my dog Django, and we can play with my kids some too, if the dogs are into kids!

Availability
With my current clients, I typically do not need to leave them for longer than 4-5 hours. While with them, I'm very engaged and present. Taking care of dogs is second nature to me - it comes very easily.
