I have been taking care of pets of all kinds for about 7 years now. I was in charge of an animal room (full of reptiles and amphibians) at Kent State where I handled all aspects of their care. This included creating feeding schedules, training volunteers, and upgrading the husbandry of their enclosures. I have also worked at two dog daycares in Kent doing boarding and daycare activities for up to 30 dogs. During my time at the daycares, I handled new clients, watched the daycare floor and provided endless entertainment for the doggos. I now work part time as a recreation specialist at Cleveland Metroparks, so it's safe to say I love the outdoors, especially if I can bring my dog with me. I currently live with my deaf doggo, Kluber, who I adopted from the shelter about three years ago. While he can't hear, we have learned to communicate using signs and floor stomps.
