Pet care experience
I have owned several types of animals for my entire life and have cared for animals for 25 years. I have over two years of experience working as a veterinary assistant and have a large working knowledge of general pet health and care, as well as great referrals for veterinarians in the Kansas City area, if needed. Having worked in the veterinary field, I'm also comfortable caring for animals with special needs including medication and injection administration, and I was also trained in pet CPR. Every animal has their own needs for optimal health and happiness, and I'm passionate about learning about those needs in order to meet them!

Jen is THE BEST!! Like the other gal said in her review- she makes you feel like you’re leaving your babies with a friend! I trust her completely. This was my first time using Rover and I was so worried, but she put my mind at ease and I knew how much she was caring for and loving on my babies! Great communication and pictures. My Bennie is a new rescue and he warmed up to her instantly! Nala and my kitty felt comfortable with her also. Can’t say enough great things. Happy to have found you Jen!!

Before our sit, I like to have a meet and greet to get to know what you and your pet(s) need. I like to know all about your pet's energy level, size, any special needs (including medications), and any behaviors I should be aware of (i.e. doesn't like dogs, eats less when owner is away, etc.). I'm very detail-oriented, so there's no such thing as too much detail! Please provide me with any harnesses, leashes, toys, or equipment I'll need to make your pet's stay with me the best one ever!
A typical day
I love making sure your pets' needs are satisfied, and every pet has their own unique needs! Does your pet need to go outside every few hours? I've got you. Does your pet need medication? I'm on it! Does your pet love to play? Me too! Does your pet need someone calm and understanding of their needs? Look no further!

I work a full-time job, but I'm currently working from home on Mondays and Fridays. I am free on most weekends, and over holidays for your convenience.
