Pet care experience
Located in the heart of the Financial District, I am a dog-loving theatrical producer who works from home, a spacious one-bedroom apartment in a luxury, dog-friendly, elevator building (no stairs!). My building is located within walking distance of Battery Park (perfect for walks!). I can accommodate up to 2 dogs at a time for walks, overnights, dog-sitting, pick ups and drop offs, exercise (runs, fetch, frisbee), at home check ins, you name it! Growing up in the South, I always had dogs (Schnauzers and rescues and some cats too). But when I moved to New York nearly 10 years ago I knew owning a dog wasn't in the cards for me. So I volunteered as a dog foster with NYC's Animal Care and Control among other animal shelters. I have also freelanced as a dog walker and care giver in the city off and on for the past 10 years. As a foster with ACC, I received training for rescue dogs (shy, nervous, aggressive towards other dogs, leash pulling, etc.). I also have experience caring for cats, birds, turtles, fish, hamsters, gerbils, mice, guinea pigs, rabbits, and even chickens.

Jennifer took care of my rescue dog Luna while I was out of the country and she was amazing! Luna absolutely loves staying with Jen and was so sad when she had to leave her. Jen has been so flexible with drop off and pick up times and even went out of her way to bring Luna to me when I came back from my trip because I was exhausted from my travels. She also came to my apartment while I was gone to pick up Luna's BarkBox so she could have new toys to play with. I highly recommend Jennifer and will use her exclusively for Luna!
Jennifer was an amazing dog sitter and we will for sure use her again! She went out of her to meet me by the Subway to pick up our pup when I was in a rush to catch the train and sent adorable pics all weekend. Thanks a ton!
This was all around amazing and the best experience we've had so far: I had a last minute trip come up and I was anxious about finding the right care for my dog who has separation anxiety, needs to take medication, and is fed a frozen raw diet . Jennifer was very responsive and flexible during the booking process and even picked Meerza up + dropped him off which was really helpful and appreciated amongst all the chaos I had to deal with. Jennifer kept me posted with picture updates via text which was great. I could definitely tell Meerza had had a great time and exercised with Jennifer when I returned, he was very relaxed and just wanted to snuggle and snooze.
