I personally own a dog too. My past experiences were the independent Spitz breed; namely the Siberian Husky and Shiba Inu. I have a lot of experience with potty training a puppy as I taught my housemates to potty train. I do not resort to violent punishments, rather, no punishments at all if accidents were to happen. If I were to care for your dog I will provide the utmost patience if possible. If deemed impossible for me, I will contact immediately about my concerns. I do recommend that if I am to walk your dog that you provide me the protocols and routines that your dog are used to, such as if they like other dogs, a certain route they prefer to walk on, etc.
