Pet care experience
I’m in my final year of my degree in animal behaviour and training which will be completed on the 17th of June. I live on farm so have been brought up caring for animals. I’m experienced with sheep, also have some experience with chickens, ducks and goats. I also have two ponies. We currently have six dogs ranging from miniature pinscher to working border collie. The oldest dog being 15 and youngest being 2. I often look after my grandma’s two rescue cats so I have experience with cats too. I have looked after our farm on my own for a few nights while my parents were away. I have done overnight house sitting before for a family friend who owns a Labrador, this was for three nights. I have also looked after my friends 8 month old kelpie x springer puppy on multiple occasions.

I have great confidence in Jemima's ability to look after animals in a safe and responsible way. She has always been around animals, brought up in a household with multiple dogs, and, since she is a farmer's daughter, she understands livestock. She has been trusted for a number of years now to single-handedly be in charge of the lambing sheds and has an instinct for when animals are unwell. She is confident around horses, has experience of goats and poultry and has looked after other people's cats. Her course at Bishop Burton introduced her to small mammals. I would happily leave her in charge of animals, knowing she would be both sensible and kind.

I will not be leaving your pet alone for long hours at a time so I will be able to be with your pet for most of the day/s and if I need to leave the house I will make sure all doors are locked and windows shut.

A typical day
I can cater to whatever activities your dog enjoys! If your dog likes to play tug of war or fetch I will make time to have dedicated play sessions with your pet. I can take your dog on whatever length walks he or she needs. If they like to chill quietly in the house I’m happy to that with them too!

I’m in my final year of my degree which I will have completed by the 17th of June. After this I will be free majority of the time. I may be free some dates before the 17th .
