Pet care experience
*** During winter months we only board smaller, hypoallergenic dogs. I’ve always had a pet my whole life - dogs, rabbits, cats. I absolutely love animals. I’ve doggy sat for a few friends and family over the years. We had two older pups that recently passed away. Both of them had some health issues in their old age, so we have a lot of experience with pets on scheduled medications and special needs. We aren’t ready to get more dogs at this time, but we have a house full of love that we’d like to share with your fur baby while you’re away 😁

Jemila and Ian were so great with our two dogs! It can be hard to find a new sitter, but within a few minutes of meeting Jemila & Ian, we knew our dogs would be comfortable and well cared for in their home. They have the perfect situation for our slightly reactive dogs - they focus on one client at a time! During our weeklong vacation, we received daily updates and photos to keep our minds at ease and our dogs were healthy & happy when we got home. It's so much easier to relax on your time off when you know your pets are safe & happy. We will definitely be utilizing this sitter again in the future and we can't thank you enough!!
Jemila and Ian were excellent sitters for my little man. I always worry about a new environment for him but they sent me multiple pictures and he was clearly relaxed and enjoying his time. I was kept updated on how his nights were and if he was eating, playing etc. they both clearly love pups and were just fine with him taking over their personal space. I will definitely be using them again! THANK YOU BOTH!
I don't worry about the pups when they are in Jemila and Ian's care. My pups are well cared for in their loving home. Always a positive experience.
My 3yr and 11mo Havanese girls LOVE Jamila and Ian. They have stayed with them twice. The first time I could tell they were happy and well cared for when I picked them up...but the best rating a dog can give is a wildly happy, wagging tail which is exactly how my pups greeted J & I. They are lovely people and true dog lovers. I am beyond grateful we found them!!!

We have a fenced backyard and lots of walking trails, parks, and several recreational spots around the neighborhood. We don’t have a lot of foot traffic so our house is calm and quiet. We do live in a two story with about 15 steps to the upstairs, we do use a baby gate to block the steps while we’re working.

A typical day
Their day would start with a walk around the neighborhood in the morning, a 30-45 minute walk along a trail by our house at lunch, and a walk around the neighborhood in the evening. Throughout the day they’ll get lots of attention, potty breaks, and time to nap in between. We believe keeping the same routine as you have established . To us, this is important in helping your dog adjust while you’re away. Let us know what you’re typical day is and we’re happy to accommodate whatever you need.

Availability
Both my husband and I work from home, so they wouldn’t be alone with the exception of running errands here and there. I have a 16 year who plays competitive softball, so every other weekend we will go to her tournaments. If it’s ok with you and your pup likes to socialize, most places are dog friendly and we would love to take them with. If not, my husband would be happy to stay home those weekends.
