I had a miniature dachshund for 13 years and she passed away during Hurricane Harvey. Where I live is not allowing pets. I enjoying the love animals give and like to return the favor and make them feel loved as well. I have cared for friends pets when they needed and have gained lots of joy from it. I’ve gone their place to let their pets out when needed and walked and fed them snd also played with the pets so they could feel they were not alone at home. I think this would give me such joy being around dogs knowing that right now I am not able to have my own. Sometimes I feel pets are better than most people and show so much love.
