Jeff took adequate care of my dog. My house was not left as it was. On the day I was coming home he sent me a msg that she had an accident in the house: “Hey so I stayed pretty late I left about 15 minutes ago. She's had her dinner aid she's been outside and we took a small walk this morning. She did finally have an accident unfortunately which was totally my fault I was passed out sleeping and I did the best I could clean it up with what I had I needed something to scrub it with really it's covered and right on the entryway into the bedroom I was sleeping in.” He also changed his Rover contact number and stopped communicating with me after I put pictures in the chat of the carpet and marks left on the kitchen wall that were not present when I left. Therefore Rover would be able to review them. Furthermore, things in the house were out of place and a few items I am still looking for. I am going to have to have my carpet professionally cleaned. Hopefully the wall marks will wash off. In my first stay with Jeff he said my dog was needy but admitted to walking her only once. He also left a vape in my house the first stay and also left things out of place so I had reservations going into this second booking with Jeff but decided to give him the benefit of the doubt since I had a short turnaround between trips. I also made the mistake of overlooking these shortcomings in my first review of him. If you book Jeff for house and pet sitting be aware that he takes on multiple jobs. He assured me it would not be a problem but I feel his attention to detail was lacking for my two experiences with him. I left instructions to give her a teaspoon of pumpkin with meals and the can in the refrigerator was as full as when I left. To recap not being able to take care of a basic need to let her out in the fenced in yard to go to the bathroom is an issue for me. Tired or not that is what I hired him for. His last message to me stated that I was too much and good luck with my next sitter.

I’m extremely disappointed in the care my dogs received. Jeff arrived almost two hours after he was supposed to and left 4 hours early. I paid for 48 hours and did not get that. My dogs were not taken out as requested. I left very detailed information as to when to feed my dogs and walk them and that was not followed. Vaping was done in my house. I will be filing a complaint with rover as well.
