Pet care experience
I've been a volunteer pet-sitter for friends' and family's dogs in addition to caring for my own dog. Daily trips to the dog park for over two years have allowed me to study dog behavior, in both my own dog and many others. Additionally, I have been a cat owner for over 25 years, including a blind cat and cats with other special needs.

My wooded backyard is fenced in with plenty of room for dogs to stretch their legs. The walking path behind my fence will provide additional stimulation. Regulars to my home will be introduced to the pet doors that allow them access to the outdoors. My three season's room can be isolated for pets who need private meal time. My undergraduate degree was in behavioral psychology, and I have experience using these techniques in training my own dog. I would be happy to talk about possible target behaviors I could work on with your dog. LGBTQ+ pet parents welcome!

I'd like to get a sense of your dog's personality so I have an idea what activities would be best suited for your pet. Any special dietary or medical issues would be good to know as well. I can only board dogs who can get along with other dogs and do not bark at or chase cats.
A typical day
I have a walking path behind my home that is perfect for short- to-medium length walks. There are also several nature areas a short drive nearby. Our large backyard is great for fetch and frisbee.

Availability
I have a variable schedule during the week, Monday through Friday. I'm typically available most hours during weekdays as well as select hours on the weekends. If boarding, I will need a pet picked up by 7 pm on Sunday.
