I can watch your pet(s) on weekdays, weekends, evenings, and holidays. Someone is HOME 23.5 to 24 hours of the day - all dogs are under constant supervision while home. The hour I may not be there, could involve a quick trip to pharmacy or the grocery store. I have the space to separate dogs during the quick trips I make out, or during bedtime, to ensure SAFETY (always the #1 priority)! All pets will be: • Exercised in a stimulating environment. • Closely supervised when interacting with with other pets until I am 100% sure they get along (this is to ensure both the SAFETY & WELL BEING of all animals (which is always my number one priority))

Information Jeff H. would like to know about your pet

In your initial message, please let me know: ➊ Overall temperament of your dog (do they get along with people and pets?) ➋ Does she/he know basic commands like "no", "come", "stop", etc? ➌ Are they fixed/neutered? Are they house trained? ➍ Are they up-to-date on vaccinations (including rabies, bordetella (cause of kennel cough), etc? ➎ Will they require special accommodations? e.g., medications, pee pads, or crating ➏ Do they exhibit separation anxiety? (e.g., jumping at doors when you exit the room; excessive barking when you leave or arrive home). A daily surcharge may be added (and will be discussed with you in advance of booking) if your dog has separation anxiety issues. During our MEET & GREET you will see the yard, barn, and house. Please let me know your preference for having your dog(s): on leash, or off-leash, or loose leash while in the fenced yard -------------- ✮ ✮ ✮ ADDITIONAL NOTES ✮ ✮ ✮ ➤ DOG SIZES, BREEDS, AGES, NEUTER STATUS • I've watched every dog size from as small as 5 lb, to as large as 200 lb. Certain dog sizes and breeds will be considered on a case-by-case basis and daily surcharges may be added to the daily rate based on certain dog breeds, personalities, and care. If your dog is not neutered, that will also be evaluated on a case-by-case basis to assess overall fit with my dog, and any other client(s) I have at the time. • For extreme senior dogs requiring special care/ medical attention, they will be considered on a case-by-case basis, and a daily surcharge will have to be discussed in advance to their booking. A discussion will also have to be had on what your current plan is for end-of-life care, and what you want done in case such a decision needs to be made ➤ SAME DAY BOOKINGS: • I’ve changed my booking policy to “same day bookings” allowed. I will make every effort to accommodate your request, however, I will not always be able to guarantee availability. A same-day surcharge of $20 will apply to the 1st night ➤ TIMING & SCHEDULING CHANGES: • 30 minute maximum time allotment for meet & greets • 1 hr maximum time window for pick-ups / drop-offs (e.g., 2pm-3pm is OK; 2pm-5pm is not) • If you need to change your drop-off or pickup window please give a **minimum** of FOUR HOURS (4 hr) advanced notice ➤ CRATING: • if your dog requires crating, you will have to bring your own crate, since I do not supply them ➤ SPECIAL NEEDS DOGS • if your dog requires highly specialized diets that take time to prepare, cook, etc please let me know in advance since a surcharge may be added for dogs with extensive diet needs • if your dog requires complex medical care (diapers, really complex medical regimens, multiple routes of drug administration) a surcharge will also be added to the stay ➤ IMPORTANT NOTE: Your dog must be able to self-ambulate (e.g., stand-up, sit/lay down, use mobility of its legs) - our current setup does not allow dogs who require assistance walking, We will not make any exceptions to this. ➤ EXTRA HANDS, EYES & HELP WITH YOUR PET • Bruce (20+ years experience with dogs) helps with meet & greets, intakes and discharges. With his help your pet(s) can have an even more outstanding experience when they are at my home. This includes extra attention, belly rubs, supervision, playtime outdoors, and love they deserve. Bruce also has 20+ years of experience with pets, and sometimes he will be helping with client meet & greets, client intakes, and client discharge. It will be communicated in advance to the owner whether it will be myself or Bruce who will be helping at each step along the way. ➤ TIPPING: • Sitting rates are set competitively with local sitters and include all fees. Rover takes 20% of total booking fees, but 0% of tip money. While tipping is certainly appreciated, it is by no means necessary, so there's no need for you to feel uncomfortable when you drop-off or pick-up your dog. ➤ FIRST TIME ROVER USERS: • Save $20 on your first booking using the following promo code: JEFFH14093 https://www.rover.com/sit/jeffh14093 --------------

A typical day

I have a huge yard that has lots of area to walk, run, and play. There's many areas to sniff and explore, including a babbling brook in the backyard, some forested areas where we can explore, or just do our walks on the large lawn. The house/barn are on a secluded, 6 acre property that is surrounded by many trees. I'm happy to walk dogs on-leash, or have them run off-leash in the fenced backyard (whatever the owner and client prefer).

Please book early since our spots are filling up quickly. You can always adjust dates (and receive a refund from Rover, or make additional payment on the platform) as needed. • Three-story house (not shown in profile pictures for safety reasons) where dogs will sleep, play, & rest is fully air conditioned. I'm very mindful of the extremes of winter cold and summer heat and the risks of heat exposure to dogs. Extra care is made to ensure that no dog(s) gets hypo- or hyper-thermia and your dog is returned to you happy & healthy (Note: read carefully the reviews of some other local Rover sitters, where incidents of over-heating have been reported) • As of January 2026, I have been re-certified by an accredited institution for pet first aid (including CPR and general emergency preparedness) ⪻⪻⪻⪻⪻⪻⪻⪻⪻⪻⪻⪻⪻⪻⪻ 📍Located in LaGrange, NY 🏡 6 acre property (1.5 acres fenced yard) I have extensive experience caring for dogs of all sizes. Large 6 acre oasis / 1.5 acres of the backyard is fully fenced and offers amazing space for your dog to run & play away from any dangers (no roads, no cars). Someone is home at ALL TIMES with your pet seven days per week, with the exception of an odd 30 minute errand (i.e., a grocery store or pharmacy visit). Your loved one(s) will have plenty of play time and social time with my dog, as well as any other visitors we have at that time. I have a three level / four bedroom house where pets can be separated if needed. I will go above and beyond to make your pet feel LOVED, SAFE & COMFORTABLE and most importantly ensure they have FUN!

Jeff was wonderful to deal with from beginning to end. He is a great communicator and quickly responds to all communication. He clearly expressed details of arrival, pickup and what to bring for our pup while we were away.He is thorough but very flexible and understanding of both the pups needs as well as the owners. This was the best experience of leaving our pup so we could get away for our anniversary. He laid all our anxieties to rest. I totally recommend Jeff without reservation!

Moose loves going to Jeff's house! He stayed there for a long weekend this time around and was as happy as can be. I enjoyed seeing all the pics of moose running around playing with others. He came back the happiest boy, as usual when he goes to Jeff's!

I can’t say enough good things about Jeff and Bruce. I was so nervous to leave my dog somewhere and he had the best time. They send tons of updates and photos and I was so relieved to know he was in good hands.
