Making your pet feel right at home
Pet care experience
My wife and I have been taking care of animals (dogs, cats, birds, lizards, guinea pigs and bunnies) since we were very young. As we get closer to retirement, we would like to spend more time doing what we love and that's caring for animals. We have well over 40 years of experience caring for animals and feel like I should have been a veterinarian. My son started a pet sitting business when he was in 7th grade and has built a strong base over the last 6 years. I thought it might be great to build it with him and sign up for Rover to assist additional people in our community. Your pet will receive all day attention as I am working from home and am here to take routine breaks for potty, walks, attention and play time. While our yard is not fenced, it is large and wooded and I spend a lot of time outside with our dog and the dogs in our care. We do go for long walks at Potters Bridge nearby along the river and in the woods and I take lots of time every day to give our guests the attention they need. Need products for your pet? Reviews
This was our first time using Rover and Jeff & Tina were great! Our girls had a great time and looked like they were right at home! Thank you both for being so wonderful! We look forward to having them stay with you again!
Jeff is very responsive and keeps us up to date. Appreciate the care Blue receives!
Jeff and his family were absolutely wonderful! We left our dog with them for more than 3 weeks. We were out of country and they were able to maintain constant contact with us and they updated us on everything regarding our dog. They shared many pictures of Soxx throughout our absence. Soxx our dog bonded well with their pet and he also get to socialize with all the other dogs at their home. I highly recommend this family to dog sit your pet if you are in need. Thank you very much jeff 😊 and your entire family for looking after Soxx. We will be using their services again.
Cash loves coming over to his second home and hanging out with y’all! ❤️🐾. Thanks again for taking care of him!

We do not have a fenced yard but do have a substantial dog run that we hook up to allow dogs to have a lot of exercise. Most of their exercise would be one on one with walks and play. We do have crates, but we typically do NOT crate our guests unless we are told to do so by an owner. Some owners prefer dogs crated at night, but we do not do that unless that is part of the owner's instructions. We do read the instructions for daily care closely on the Rover app to ensure that your dogs are up at the right time, fed correctly and receive medications or supplements as required. We take your instructions to heart and very seriously as this is your family member who you care for on a regular basis and we don't want to upset their schedule when they return home with you after their busy and playful stay here.

Information Jeff D. would like to know about your pet
Please be sure and give us as much detail on what your dog likes or dislikes and if there’s any special requirements that we need to know to make your dogs stay a great experience for all
A typical day
We typically take a daily walk along the river that is 3-5 miles. The walk depends on the dog. The walk has a lot of woods and a great path with a peaceful landscape. I have walked up to 4 dogs by myself but prefer a max of three. My wife and son help when we have more than two dogs so we can make sure they all receive extra attention. We spend time in the house or yard playing with a favorite toy. Our Husky loves to play tug o war so can do that for hours with other high energy dogs. He’s also great at just chilling when dogs need a rest. We tailor our activity to tge dogs in our care
