Pet care experience

I am a Master Canine Trainer and Behaviorist, breeder of world-class working line German Shepherds, AKC Canine Good Citizen evaluator, and AKC Temperament Test evaluator, with 20-years experience training and handling tactical working canines, service dogs, and pets. Our 40-acre facility is located on the edge of a 101,000-acre wildlife area in the mountains just 30 minutes outside Wenatchee, and it is a paradise for dogs. We have a secure climate controlled kennel with CCTV surveillance, and 5'x5' individual indoor kennels connected with a dog door to 5'x10' outdoor runs. In addition we have approximately 10-acres that are fenced with 8' wildlife fencing for the dogs to run, play, and explore, with an additional 30-acres for leashed (all dogs) and off-leash (approved dogs) walks, and an obstacle course. We offer board & train options for clients wanting canine training or behavioral modification, as well as pick up and delivery of your dog, for an additional charge.

We were referred to Jeff for some behavioral modification and advanced obedience training for our 3YO Austrailian Shepherd. We all had so much fun and got so much out of the training we did with him, we asked Jeff if he could board our boy for 14 days while we went on vacation. When we got home our boy Joey was so happy and tired, you could just tell he had the time of his life at Jeff's. We have used him for boarding three times now, and the last time he taught Joey to detect and find shed antlers as one of activities he did with Jojo while we were away. That little extra he did for us free of charge has inspired us to spend more time hiking and exploring with Jo to out his new skill to use, and it has made our lives and Jojo's better. Another thing we really like about Jeff is that he only boards a limited number of dogs at a time and if he has multiple clients dogs, they are dogs that he knows don't have barking or behavioral issues, so his kennels are quiet and low stress for the guest dogs. We now will only use Jeff for our boarding needs and when we tell Joey he is "going to camp" (Jeff's) he immediately gets excited and goes and stands by the front door to wait for Jeff to pick him up. Jeff is professional, trustworthy, safety conscious, incredily knowledgeable about everything dogs, and he genuinely wants to make sure that the dogs he allows to stay at the ranch or works with have the time of their life. We enthusiastically reccomend him for boarding, sitting, training, and behavioral modification. You will not be disappointed.

A typical day

A typical day for dogs staying with us starts with a leashed walk around the perimeter of the property, followed by breakfast. Approximately 1-hour after breakfast the dog will get an off-leash play session in the 10-acre fenced portion of the property which may include fetch with a Chuck-it or Frisbee depending on the dog. The dog will then get time to relax in their indoor/outdoor kennel until approximately 2:00pm at which time they will get a second perimeter walk or hike on the wildlife area. Dinner is served at 4:30pm, and at 5:30pm, the dog will get a second off-leash play session in the fenced portion of the facility. Lights out is at 8:00pm. If you and your dog happen to be current or former canine training clients, your dog will also get one to two 15-min training sessions focused on refining the dogs current level of training.
