For me personally, my pets have been indoor beings so they have their little kennel house and comfy beds, i don’t lock them in because i immediately try to know what certain looks, actions, whimpers, mean and for what so when it’s time they can comfortably go out back in the patio or out on walk, my husband and i trained our puppy good enough to where he naturally would go use the bathroom outside and come back inside to chill, his mom is the same way except she’s more obedient from my fathers training.
