Pet care experience
My family instilled a love for dogs at a young age. I grew up with a lovely Maltese and over the years had 2 larger rescue dogs join our family as well (I'm lucky to have 20 years experience with dogs!). Currently, I welcomed a senior dog of 12 years into my home and adore her! I have 10+ years experience dog sitting for family and friends, as well as familiarity with every breed and personality type--from bulldogs to German shepherds. Due to my dog sitting background I'm very comfortable with all breeds and I appreciate getting to know each dog's unique personality. I have strong communication skills and would make it a priority to keep you up to date on how your pup is doing throughout the day.

Jeanine was amazing with my french bulldog Goldie while my husband and I were out of the country. Goldie is a high-energy puppy still working on her house-training skills, and can be a little overwhelming with her affections which include licking and jumping. Jeanine handled her with patience and grace, and even gave me tips on how to curtail my puppy's behaviors, which I was super grateful for since I am a first time dog owner. It was a relief to know Goldie was well taken care of while we were gone, and she sent me daily updates and pictures too. Jeanine will take wonderful care of your furry family member as she has a calm and loving demeanor and genuinely loves animals. I highly recommend her, and she will be my first call the next time I need a pet sitter!

-Getting to know a dog's personality and routine are very important to me, as it helps sitting go smoothly for everyone. -I'd also like to know if the dog has a tendency to nip -If there are any existing triggers for stress/alarm (some rescue dogs may have a natural aversion to certain items/situations and it's my goal to keep your dog happy and stress-free!) -Knowing if your dog has preferences for toys, indoor/outdoor activities is also helpful
A typical day
Dogs, just like people, have their own routines and preferences and I am happy to stick with those. If you let me know your dog's favorite walking route we can go for a familiar walk, or I'm happy to take your dog on a mini-adventure too. You can count on lots of games of fetch, belly rubs, cuddling and loving attention...pretty much whatever keeps your dog happy and at ease!
