Pet care experience
I am a retired groundskeeper that has always had at least 2 dogs and cats her entire life. I am looking for part time work that I love. That means critters! I Love cats, dogs, chickens, bunnies, etc. For several years I had a small gentleman’s farm with a large garden, chickens 4 dogs and a 2 cats. I gave it up when my mom needed full time care. I know how important exercise is for healthy happy dog. I also know how important it is to have someone you can trust, to call when you are told to work late at the last minute.

Jeanette looked after our Labrador Retriever while we were on our Honeymoon. I never worried about our dog at all! She is really wonderful with pets of all kinds. She is extremely trustworthy and punctual. She has dogs and cats of her own and really understands them. We will definitely be calling her again!

I have know Jeanette for many years, she has always been an animal lover. She currently has 3 dogs that she loves and cares for very much, she has brought them to my house for swims in my pond... they have so much fun. She has helped me out many times and will be watching my 3 dogs while I’m vacationing in a few weeks. Jeanette is great with all animals and will always be my first choice for pet watching. I have 3 acres that are fenced in with invisible fence. If your pups aren’t use to that I would keep them leashed with me while they are out side playing.

What are their energy levels? Do they like to swim? Are they good off leash? Are the invisible fence trained? Any special needs? I like all dogs! I have very high energy labs, but I am also experienced with low energy seniors. My 15 year old chihuahua just died this spring.
A typical day
There are lots of places near me to take my dogs for walks. My favorite spot is a pond less than a mile from my home. Lots of area to run and play! Dogs that like to swim really love the pond!

Availability
I retired early after 36 years at the University of Michigan. I would like some ongoing part time work. I especially love exercising dogs. It’s good for them and me!!!
