Pet care experience
Hello! I'm a fun-loving, outdoorsy grad student, who loves to play, run, walk, and care for dogs! What your dog will get from me: - playful, energetic, animal-loving lady who will find that perfect scratchy spot - a master ball thrower (I play third base and left field, so that ball is going far!) - a chill couch companion who is relatively generous with treats (but also believes in moderation), has loads of comfy blankets, and is happy to cuddle and nap/study What you will get from me: - a playful, energetic, animal-loving lady who is responsible and time-oriented - a flexible, happy person who is easy to work with and answers texts/calls and will send pics if requested (and maybe even sometimes if not requested ;) - a chill student who is working hard to get through college life and just wants to sit and study with your puppy, taking breaks to go outside and have some fun!
Reviews
Our dog, Puck, is a little too tempermental to go to a kennel for boarding. He never seems to eat and I hate that smell when he comes home. But he loves Jaz. She cuddles with him and tucks him in at night. Gives him little treats. It's like having a special babysitter. It is also nice to have someone checking on the house.
Jaz has grown up in a household full of animals - dogs, cats, mice, gerbils and more - she has always been very loving and responsible with every one of them. She has also had experience with an animal who has some mobility issues and I have always been impressed by her compassion and patience. We often ask her to step in and care for our animals when we are gone on vacation and she does a great job.

I do not have any breed preferences, and will say that it is not often that I find a dog I don't eventually get along with. I am a social worker, which you wouldn't think would apply here, but it gives me good insight about patience, compassion, and individual responses that put me in a good position to understand and hang with most dogs.
A typical day
I'm happy to walk anywhere and everywhere. I have a particular liking for wooded areas and big fields. Eberwhite woods is a favorite of mine, walking the arb is another great choice, and of course dog parks are superb too - a great way to both run and socialize your dog. I'm a softball player who loves to throw, a runner who loves to run, and a swimmer who in the summer would be more than happy to swim. Lakes and dogs are a favorite match of mine :)
