I’m currently working part-time, which gives me a flexible schedule and plenty of time to care for pets throughout the week. I’m generally available during mornings and afternoons after 2 PM on weekdays, and I have full availability on weekends for boarding, walks, playtime, and overnight care. Because I genuinely enjoy being around animals, I love making pet care part of my daily routine. I make sure every dog gets lots of attention, exercise, playtime, and care while helping them feel comfortable and at home!

My home in San Luis Obispo is very dog friendly and made to be a safe, comfortable environment for pets to stay in. I have both a fenced front yard and fenced backyard, giving dogs plenty of secure outdoor space to play, relax, and get fresh air throughout the day. My home also has wood flooring throughout, which helps keep the space clean and comfortable for pets.

I’d love to know anything important about your pet before their stay, including their routine, personality, energy level, medications, allergies, fears, or anything that helps them feel most comfortable. I understand every dog has different needs and boundaries, and I always want to make sure I’m providing the best care possible for them. I’m experienced with both small and large breeds and comfortable caring for energetic puppies, senior dogs, and dogs that may need a little extra patience or attention.
A typical day
Every dog is different, so I like to do activities based on their personality and energy level. For more active dogs, I enjoy going on walks, playing fetch, tug of war, and spending time outside in the yard. For calmer dogs, I love giving them attention, cuddles, enrichment toys, and a relaxing environment where they feel comfortable and safe. I make sure pets get plenty of exercise, stimulation, and one on one attention throughout the day so they feel happy and at home while staying with me.

I’ve taken care of dogs of all sizes and personalities since I was around 10 years old. I grew up with two Cane Corsos and a miniature poodle, so I’ve always been around both large and small dogs with completely different personalities and needs. I helped care for them daily by feeding, walking, bathing, grooming, playing with them, and making sure they felt comfortable and loved. Over the years, friends, neighbors, and family have trusted me to care for their pets while they’re away. I = love getting to know each dog’s personality, whether they’re energetic and playful, shy and calm, or super affectionate. I have experience with puppies, senior dogs, and larger breeds, and I always try to match each pet’s routine so they feel as safe and comfortable as possible. I also know how important communication is for pet owners, so I love sending photo updates and making sure owners feel confident that their pets are being well cared for and getting lots of attention, love, and playtime while they’re away!

Jaylin has been absolutely amazing with my dog, Pickle. From day one, it was obvious how much care, attention, and love she gives to every walk. Pickle gets so excited whenever Jaylin arrives, and I always feel completely at ease knowing he’s in such good hands. She’s reliable, communicative, and genuinely great with dogs. Whether it’s making sure Pickle gets plenty of exercise or just giving her extra affection and attention, Jaylin always goes above and beyond. I couldn’t recommend her more to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring dog walker! As a rover dog walker myself Jaylin is exactly who I would want to hire on this app.
Jay is the best! She has watched and boarded my Teddy many times and he never wants to leave. He always gets excited to see her. She has always taken him on great walks, the beach, and even his first pupaccino!! She is very caring and I would highly recommend her!
Jay is such a sweet girl, she helps out walking my 2 dogs, one Chihuahua and one Great Dane when I am out of town or too busy with work! She is always so kind and goes above and beyond for my little furr babies! I highly recommend her!
