Full Time Dog Trainers and Sitters!

Pet care experience

Funny story, Charlie and I actually met over our dog Olaf! Ask us about that story if you come and meet us:) Both Charlie and I have owned pets since we were little, and also help family and friends with their pets when out of town. We have helped sit for several clients in the past including overnight stays with their pets. We’ve volunteered at multiple animal shelters/ animal events in our lives and have learned about behaviors, training, care and socializing animals. JAYLIN: I worked at the Greenville Humane Society for 9 months in the Foster Department where I learned how to give medications and diagnose illnesses to animals (dogs and cats) as well as give vaccinations. So if medication is needed to give your animal, that is no problem! I also know how to handle several behaviors of different animals as I have had to work with them all! I also have experience watching senior dogs. I am a recent college graduate from NC State. I recently completed an internship virtually for the ASPCA in the Government Relations department in Spring 2023. I’m currently completing an apprenticeship with a service dog organization, and will hopefully be a full time trainer with their company soon! (Company is Good Dog!). My career goal is to work in the service/guide/therapy dog industry, so I am training a puppy for 14 months while being trained by the lead trainers. CHARLIE: I’ve owned dogs, birds, pigs, you name it. I’ve always been an animal person. My wife and I have rescued dogs off the streets and reunited them with their owners. I’m a full time dog obedience trainer. I went to Knoxville for almost 3 weeks and became certified after many many hours of learning about dog behavior. OUR HOME: We have a fully fenced yard with about an acre of space for your fur babies to run around and play. In our home, we have extra crates if needed, but we prefer for you to bring your own if your pet will feel more comortable in their own. We also have gates to block off dogs during feeding times. We also utilize our extra rooms, and we usually have some pets sleep in the room with us, as we've seen they are more comfortable being in the room with people. FEEDING TIME: We make sure to feed all of our pets separately, in separate spaces. MEETING NEW CLIENTS: We accept dogs of all sizes because I have experience with all of them. We make sure to ask about your dog's behavior first before ever putting them with any of our dogs, or any other clients'. We also allow our dogs to meet your dog one by one at a meet and greet before the booking starts (only if you allow). Also, we do watch cats, but only for house sitting requests. We also watch birds, rabbits, etc (house sitting only). EXERCISE/PLAYTIME: We make sure to incorporate as much time outside supervised. We've had dogs that love to play fetch for hours, so we definitely have a bunch of tennis balls and rope toys. In the case that the weather is bad, if you allow, we have frozen peanut butter kongs ready to go, and rope toys for your pals to play with. BATH/GROOMING: I charge $20 for just a bath! Not a professional groomer, but I can definitely give them a bath and brush them. PLEASE do not hesitate to let me know if you do not feel comfortable having your dog around any of their other dogs or our dogs. We will make sure to accommodate them by separating them. We have a back door that we use to let dogs in and out at different times.

Our two labs love staying with Jaylin and Charles! They run to them when we drop off and completely forget about us, so we know they are happy there which means a lot.

This was our first time boarding with Jaylin and Charles and it went perfectly! LOVE their service of pickup and dropoff , this made everything so much smoother for all of us! Great communication, prompt responses, sent us pic updates, and SO easy-going! Especially when we accidentally sent them to our old address 😩 Our senior golden retriever has a hard time with anxiety and we’ve never felt comfortable boarding him. But the fantastic reviews from friends helped encourage us to trust Jaylin and Charles and our pup did fantastic! We booked again for the following week based on our spring break travel and have zero doubts our pup will enjoy his spring break too!

We were very comfortable leaving Piper with Jaylin and Charles. We felt confident in their ability to care for our dog. They sent us pictures and responded quickly when I texted.
