Pet care experience
I’ve taken care of dogs of all sizes and breeds since childhood. Family, friends and unfamiliar faces have relied on me to care for, feed, and walk, their adored doggos. I’ve also had experience with puppies, and a few kittens as well. My grandmother breeds dogs which has definitely taught me a few things. On top of that, I enjoy and can care for cats or any other animal.

We booked Jayden for a couple walk for my high energy doggo. He was very understanding to Finns needs and took the time to get acquainted with him before his first walk. He was very understanding to my situation as well which made it an all around a great first experience using rover.
Jayden is really great with dogs (well I guess animals in general). We have 6 dogs and sometimes, especially to new people in their lives that seems like a lot, but he came in like a champ and all of our dogs love him. He sends us an update every day after his visit to let us know how the visit went and if he thinks something is wrong with our dogs. For example one of them gets really bad hot spots and Jayden let us know that one was coming in before we got off work so we could treat it. If you’re looking for the most attentive dog sitter (or even cats) Jayden is the guy for you. He even asked if there was anything he could do to make sure our tortoise didn’t feel left out.
Jayden is a highly motivated pet care sitter/walker—I cannot recommend him enough. My Golden Retriever, Sadie, was just a baby when Jayden first met her and they hit it off immediately. A few months later, Jayden and his family stayed with us for a few days. Jayden very kindly took over dog walking activities for me as I was nursing a broken toe. He was the first person to get Sadie to go into the water at the beach. Later that year, Jayden did some pet sitting as we needed to have somewhere to leave Sadie while we attended a college football game in Portland. That was a real lifesaver for us! I do know Jayden has been raised with dogs all of his life. Unfortunately one of his furbabies crossed the Rainbow Bridge yesterday.

I care very much about the animals overall well-being, I respect animals and treat them how I would want to be treated. I genuinely enjoy the presence of dogs and cats, and I love them so. Over the years of spending time with them, I have developed a deep understanding of animal(especially dog) behavior and language. I can tell if they are playful, aggressive, scared, or relaxed and can read their unique personality. I use a ton of positive reinforcement, as opposed to punishment. I have done crate training, pee pads, basic potty training, and some obedience.

A typical day
I love to stimulate your pets mentally and physically. I want them to be happy and well cared for. I like getting all their energy out so they stay healthy as well. I like to play games with them like fetch, tug a war, feather for cats, etc. On walks I like to change it up every time so they are always excited for an adventure.
