I believe that the most important information to know about a dog ahead of time is their medical background. I’d hate to be unprepared if something related to a health condition were to occur so knowing a dog’s medical background and age helps me feel better prepared for the visit to ensure I can take the best care of your friend. Quirks, habits, triggers, motivators, or any other information you think I should know I will absorb like a sponge. It’s very important to me to be prepared!

Exploration is key! Especially when the weather is nice, I love to be outside with the animals whether it is playing a game of fetch or going on a long stroll. There are trails minutes away from my house that I often walk through myself, but would be even more enjoyable with furry friends to come along with! Once everyone is all tuckered out I’d come back home, make sure your dog receives a sufficient amount of food and water, then lay back and watch a movie while cuddling them to make sure they feel safe and at peace after a long day. I make sure the dogs under my care get several potty breaks throughout the day, and keep a look out for signs that tell me when they need to go. I have worked with senior dogs in the past, and know that some dogs need to use the restroom more often than others.
