Hi, I’m Jaycee, and I’ve always loved dogs. When I was little, I would spend hours outside training my pups to do crazy tricks, like jumping over a barrel or carrying a basket. I also enjoyed reading books about different canine breeds. My first job was working as a dog trainer at Petco. I worked there for three years and absolutely loved it. I learned so much about pet behavior and how to use reward-based training methods. During my time there, I taught pups the basic commands such as sit, down, come, and how to walk on a leash. I really liked getting to know each pooch and their parents. I was fortunate to meet so many different types of dogs, and it taught me how to work with tons of different canine personalities. I live in a pet-friendly apartment complex that has a dog-wash room and treats at the front desk! There are two wonderful parks right outside that are great for taking long walks. My complex also has a fenced-in dog park for pups who like to socialize. I have a seven-year-old Rat Terrier mix named Kipper. He came to me when he was one year old, and we've had a great six years together! I am a full-time student, and my schedule is pretty open. I usually take evening classes, so my weekday mornings and early afternoons are mostly free. I would describe myself as friendly, patient, and reliable. Being friendly helps me connect with animals and people, having patience lets me take the time to get to know each pup and pet parent, and being reliable allows me to build lasting relationships with my clients.
