I grew up in an animal loving home with several dogs and cats as my dad was a veterinarian. I developed knowledge of caring for pets and to identify any changes to their physical and mental wellbeing from my dad. Due to this experience I have been able to help pets when they are in distress. I have been a Rover sitter since 2018 and pet sitting is a lifestyle for me rather than a business because I enjoy the company of animals. I am a homeworker with flexible working hours which enables me to get plenty of playtime and hugs from your fur babies. I also have enhanced security clearance due to my work which is more thorough than a DBS check. I do not care for pets in my home because they may get distressed if they are not in familiar surrounding. I also provide daycare in the pet’s home and the price is the same as an overnight stay. Daycare starts between 8am to 9am depending on how far the property is from my home. I also provide dog walks and they last between 45mins to an hour per booking. During house sits, I always ensure the doors and windows are locked and food is put away (both human and pet). I have a tendency to spoil animals in my care by cooking healthy pet friendly treats from scratch, provided the owners are happy with it. I also stay near the animals when they are playing or resting when I work from home so I can keep an eye on them especially if their health is compromised. I ensure harnesses are secured while out on walks. I do not take pets off lead in parks to prevent dog attacks and theft. I also carry a personal alarm on walks and take home security rather seriously so will not allow anyone into your home even if they have a key unless I am instructed in advance - cleaner, builder, family and so on.
