Pet care experience
Since I can remember, my family have had a wide mixture of pets, from dogs and cats, to small farm animals. My family currently run a dog-friendly B&B where I am often on-hand to keep the dogs occupied whilst the owners have some quiet and relaxed downtime. I am in the process of being onboarded to volunteer at a local dog shelter.

Jay has looked after my dogs on multiple occasions and I always feel at ease knowing they are with Jay. She is very good with them, and they love spending time with her. I get lots of updates through out the stay including photos and messages to let me know how they are. Would highly recommend.
Our dog Benson adores Jhelisa. She has taken care of him on dozens of occasions over the past two years and remains a core person in his life, from walking to overnight stays — Jhelisa has proven to be a very reliable and trusting carer. Benson is an overly-affectionate Shih Tzu who appreciates as much love and attention any person is willing to give — luckily for him, Jhelisa is a very loving and willing chest-stroker! Like most pet owners, leaving a pet with someone new for the first time can be a troubling and unnerving decision, however, our nerves soon settled when we witnessed how at ease Benson became around her. She is a great communicator. Often, when we return to collect Benson, his reluctance to leave is reassuring to us and an indicator of how amazing she continues to be with him.
Jay has looked after quite a few dogs at our dog friendly BnB. She has been happy to take the dogs on walks, play with them or just sit with them to keep them company. Jay is very caring and loving, having looked after our own rescue dog as well who needed lots of extra care. She is thoughtful, conscientious and hard working. I can always rely on her to take the initiative and I don’t worry about leaving her with any of our visiting dogs.

At this moment in time, I am not offering pet sitting in my own home, however, I am more than happy to pet-sit in the comfort of your pets own home — I often find this is less troubling for the animal, considering they’re in familiar territory.

All dogs possess different characteristics and traits so the more detail you can provide ahead of time, the better. From their personality, likes/dislikes and general behaviour.
A typical day
I love walking on the beaches and in woodland areas— I like to go to places where there are less crowds and fewer distractions. With that said, I am happy and keen to explore newer routes closer to the pets home.

Availability
Whilst I am not currently involved in an animal related profession, I am seeking opportunities to take a step into animal care, which is my long term goal. I am currently a manager for a local council. Due to my working arrangements, I am often free for afternoon walks up until early evening — with enough notice, I am often flexible and will always make an attempt to prioritise your pets needs.
