Jay has house and pet-sat for us on numerous occasions and has been nothing but exceptional. There is no-one else I would rather entrust our furchildren to in our absence. Quite frankly, I would trust him with anything because he is one of those hard-working, reliable, honestly good people that seem to be disappearing from the world! His love and compassion for animals are obvious in the interactions between he and our pets, and it ...
Jay is a kind and patient pet sitter. He took the time getting to know our difficult kitty, Java, and is dependable and responsible. I recommend him without reservation.

I grew up with a number of family pets who we got from local shelters and/or family or friends who needed to give up their pet due to personal setbacks, so I have first-hand experience living with both trained dogs, and those who have been through some rough times in their lives and who needed a bit more thorough TLC or were not very social around other dogs or strangers.

What Jay would like to know about your dog
I'll need some basics: any medications your dog takes, their food schedule, and any "musts" or "avoids" to make your dog comfortable while you're gone. I'd also like a brief history on how you met your pup (pound, puppy raised, etc). Last, I'll ask questions about your disciplinary practice so that I can reinforce those while you are away: do you use hand signals when giving commands like sit or stay? Are there areas of your place that are off limits? Does your dog have any trouble spots (getting into your trash, are they scared during storms, etc) that I can know and try to anticipate or prevent?
