Pet care experience
I have been working with pets my entire adult life, most recently as the assistant manager at a high class pet resort for the last 3 years. I am now an artist, but I miss getting out of the house and interacting with people's pets! As I work from home, I have a very flexible schedule to provide your dog with the exact care it needs at any time, and I will not need to leave your dog unattended for hours while I go to work. Working at a pet resort, I have dealt with vet emergencies and also day to day first aid occurrences, so I do have some basic medical experience. I also have experience with picky eaters, young dogs, timid rescue dogs, unhealthy dogs that need extra special care, and elderly dogs as well. It was a regular part of my job to dispense medications to dogs, while being incredibly careful to administer the correct dose and be sure the animal received it properly. Of course I do also love playing with and walking dogs, and will be sure that they will get the exercise and attention they need. I have reliable transportation, and would be happy to take your dog to it's favorite local park. I am open to providing references and conducting an interview before making a decision, as I believe you and your dog must feel completely comfortable with me before I stay. I am professional, reliable and responsible, and will give you peace of mind about your pet and your home while you are away! Thank you for your consideration.

Not only dig Jasper take excellent care of Lucy (and give her lots of belly rubs), she also made sure the packages that were delivered to our house were secured.
Jasper was great the first few times she did drop in visits. However, as time went on she stopped staying for the 30 min. According to our house alarm system she would only stay for about 10-15 min the last week we used her. We had a new puppy that needed to be out for as long as possible to eat lunch and go outside. Plus we were under the impression we were paying her for 30 min so we were very unhappy. Also, her rover site states $10 for a drop in visit but she charged us the holiday rate every time she came by.
Jasper was wonderful! she had a handful with our 4 dogs... we received many updates, she went above and beyond to stay (since one of our dogs is a destroyer when left alone) I would definitely recommend and use Jasper again... Hopefully she will accept! Thank you Jasper!

I absolutely need to know if your dog has any medical issues I need to keep an eye on, and also how you would like me to proceed in the case of an emergency where you cannot be reached. I also would like to know if your dog has any behavioral quirks, and if they are aggressive with strangers or other dogs. Many dogs can be picky when their owner is away, so any special instructions regarded feeding or what I can do if they do not want to eat would make me feel more comfortable. I have no breed preferences, and honestly have met dogs I liked and dogs I did not like quite as much from every breed!
A typical day
Walk locations are per owner's permission and recommendation. Walks down the block and at parks are weather permitting, especially for short faced dogs. I will not take dogs to off-leash dog parks, as I do not feel comfortable taking responsibility for other dog's actions and vaccination statuses. I would love to do any activities you know your dog likes, from just cuddles, to playing fetch, to going on a jog. You know your dog best!
