Hi there I'm Jason, you can call me J. I'm relatively new to the Portland area, and a dog person through and through. If there's a dog at a gathering we will find one another and be friends. I've owned dogs most of my life and have house sat dogs many times (mostly in Florida) with no issues (other than your normal dogs doing dog stuff). A friend turned me onto Rover when I mentioned that I would love some dog company on my daily walks. A little about me... I'm a magician and performed at Walt Disney World for just over 12 years. Having a "non-traditional" job afforded me an eclectic background of experiences which includes having worked at the Cincinnati Zoo and Botanical with big cats (cheetahs, servals, caracals, and a baby cloud leopard) as well as many species of birds (parrots, hawks, owls, ravens, and an abyssinian ground hornbill). I received training in positive reinforcement techniques and animal behavior while I was there and have continued to apply what I learned on a daily basis (positive reinforcement works even with non furry friends!) I have a flexible schedule, can be available mornings and evenings and able to stay overnight if need be.
