It's calculated using your dog's age, weight, and any special needs. The average is about $44 per night. The rate is also based on the length of the reservation. The longer the reservation, the lower the nightly rate- as much as a $10/night discount. If you are contacting about a last-minute stay (within 3 days of the start) and I happen to have availability, I'll provide a 10% discount. ***************************************************************** A little about Jason: I personally have 30 years of experience owning and working with dogs, and I'm certified in Dog First Aid & CPR. I started caring for neighbors' dogs professionally when I was just 10 years old, and in that time have learned so much about breed differences, dog body language, and canine behavior. Owning 6 different dogs of my own over 30 years, I have extensive experience with all aspects of caring for them. I have volunteered for shelters and rescue groups, mostly by leash-training the dogs to increase their chances of being adopted. ****************************************************************** Optional reading: I care for all breeds of dogs, from Chihuahua to Great Dane, as well as cats, pigs, reptiles, birds, rabbits, fish, rodents, and other small mammals. Oral medications prescribed by your veterinarian, as well as over the counter medications or supplements can be administered for no additional charge. **If your dog requires medication to be injected or has some other special needs, please advise me up front so we can discuss the specifics.** I can provide transportation to and from my home for a reasonable fee. Not only is this a more convenient alternative, it also ensures a smoother transition and far less anxiety for most dogs. These drop-off and pick-up hours are between 10am and 10pm, and must be scheduled in advance. You do not necessarily need to be home for me to pick up or drop off your dog. I just need a key or garage code prior. The rate for this service is $18 one-way or $32 round-trip. Other Discounts, Prices, and Referrals: For boarding multiple dogs, the second (and third) dog is 20% off the first dog's rate. There is a 10% discount for reservations over 10 nights for in-home pet sitting During your dog's stay, you'll receive updates and pictures via text or email throughout as often as you request. They are not always required by me, but occasionally I will need to meet your dog before booking a reservation so I can get a sense of his or her energy level, personality and temperament. *Additional services: Nail Clipping - $10 per small dog and $15 for medium and large dogs. In-Home Pet Sitting Services: If you have cat(s), more than one pet, exotic pet(s), or you have a dog who gets anxious in new places, in-home pet sitting is an excellent option. The rate for watching your pets and your home is $51/night for 3 daily visits, $37/night for 2 daily visits, and $20 for one daily visit. Each visit is 30 to 45 minutes in length. *Not recommended for puppies under 8 months old or dogs that don't like being left alone/have separation anxiety.* If you are in need of an ongoing mid-day dog walker, contact me to set up a meet n' greet! I can provide private walks (any length of time), short potty relief visits(only $12 per visit if booked in advance or ongoing), or an alternative type of dog walking service at your request. Boarding Vaccination Requirements: 1) Rabies 2) DA2PP (sometimes called DAPP, Distemper+, or something else entirely.) Please have a copy of your dog's vaccine records available for all services. We will only need to verify that all shots have been given recently enough that immunity is still likely present. Titer tests are also accepted (and strongly recommended for older dogs rather than more unnecessary vaccinations). About this sitter: If you have a cat, multiple dogs, exotic pets, or a dog who is more comfortable at home, in-home pet sitting is an excellent option. I can take care of all of your pets, not just dogs, as well as provide extra security for your home and/or cars. The initial meeting in your home is free, and will give you an opportunity to get to know me, go over care instructions, and other important information. The rate is $17/visit if you book 3 daily visits, $18.50/visit for 2 daily visits, and $20 for a single daily visit. These rates are for up to 3 pets. For each additional pet, the rate is $5 per day (not visit) more. Any and all vacation services, like watering the plants, bringing in the mail, taking out the garbage cans, and rotating lights are included in this rate. I've taken care of over 1,000 different dogs professionally, and many of them stayed in their own homes. I have also cared for several cats, and on occasion I have taken care of guinea pigs, rabbits, mice, turtles, reptiles, and fish. Why I love dog sitting I have owned dogs since I was 4 years old, and have been primarily responsible for raising them since I was about 8. I trained them properly to be well-behaved, social dogs, and everybody always commented on how sweet and well behaved my dogs were with other dogs and people alike. My dog Monkey is a sweet little 8 year old Chihuahua. Any oral medications can be administered for no charge. I myself do have experience with insulin injections.
