Long-time dog owner / companion. I am a full-time, home-based woodworker, with a flexible schedule. My shop opens up into my large, unfenced back yard, so I can keep as close an eye on your dog as he/she might require. We can laze around in the shady yard, play a bit of fetch, or go on a walk to the park around the corner. I understand and appreciate the different care requirements of dogs of all ages, especially the older ones. I am also an avid hiker, so long dog walks are not a problem. Recently, I've worked with the Warrior Canine Connection in their basic, service-dog training program, in which we work with Labrador and Golden Retrievers. My last dog of 14 years was a Doberman Pinscher. My current dog is a Chihuahua-MinPin mix. So, I have first-hand experience with dogs of all sizes. If your dog is spending the day at my house, I won't double book another dog so everyone has a comfortable and easy visit, but he or she should be able to get along with a Chihuahua.
