Pet care experience
I've always been around animals from a young age, growing up in a household that always had multiple pet dogs. I have always helped take care of family pets, walking, feeding and caring for them. In more recent years I have done a lot of dogsitting while I have been travelling throughout my 20's - often looking after family or friends pets while staying with them or staying at their place while they are away and caring for their animals in exchange. Over the past few years I have taken care of a young, reactive, deaf dog on multiple occasions; from drop ins to walk her, to looking after her for up to two weeks at a time. This has taught me a lot about caring for an animal with additional needs.

Jason is great! He cat-sat for me for 2 months as I had to be out of town for a short-term contract job. It was important to me that I had someone reliable and communicative since I was gone for a while. Jason always made sure to update me on how my cat, Ollie, was doing and would send me pictures to show me as well! Ollie is a bit adverse to new people, but took to Jason fairly quickly and got very comfortable with him. Jason made sure to keep up with Ollie's feeding schedule and other routines. Overall, Jason is a very dependable and caring pet sitter and I highly reccomend him for your pet sitting needs!
Jason has been helping us out with our dog for about a year now, and couldn't be more grateful for his services! The communication with Jason was excellent - he promptly responds to my inquiries and provides updates after each walk. It is always reassuring to see how much care and attention he puts into his interactions with our dog - especially given some of her challenges with being a young, energetic deaf 3 year old who requires extra attention. Jason has also dog sat for us on multiple occasions, which always gives us a peace of mind while we're away. We would recommend Jason to anyone who is looking for someone to give their pup some love, attention, and exercise!
Jason is fantastic with my Lurcher, Cruiz. He is always punctual and my little one loves him. He always takes the time to make sure Cruiz gets a good amount of exercise. Cruiz loves all the extra attention and is always waiting at the window excited when Jason arrives!
My miniture Schnauzer lights up when she sees Jason! I know when my dog is in Jason’s capable hands I can relax. He has shown time and again that he understands the needs of my pet and enjoys what he does - highly recommended.

I don't have any pets of my own at the moment, so your pet would have my space to itself. I live in a walk out basement apartment with one person above me in a suburban area on the outskirts of town meaning there are no busy roads nearby and there's no traffic noise etc. I have a small fenced in backyard your pet could have access to. Depending on their needs, inside my place - they could have free reign to roam as they please, or I have rooms where they could be closed in while I am out if that works better for them! I am very close to many beautiful walking trails.

Availability
I am currently working Full Time, but I do shift work, meaning my schedule is different each week, usually my shifts are either early (home by 3.30pm) or late (starting at 3.30pm, home by 11.30pm). I have recently relocated to Thunder Bay however and don't know many people in the area - meaning my schedule outside of work is almost completely free, leaving me a lot of time to spend with any animals I am working with. I am hoping to move to part time shifts soon, and would be working from home part time when this happens, increasing my availability.
