Pet care experience
Luke and I are both huge dog lovers. Sadly, our sweet elderly rescue dog, Pippy, crossed the rainbow bridge a couple of months ago. This left a huge void in our lives, so while we currently don't feel ready to commit to having our own dogs again just yet, we would love to care for yours! This experience dogsitting has been amazing so far, we are loving getting to know all the lovely different dogs and their individual personalities. Rest assured while your fur baby is in our care, we will treat them as if they were our own. We have experience caring for puppies, senior dogs, administering medication and basic dog training. Asides from caring for Teddy and Pippy, we have also cared for friends and families fur babies ranging from puppies to older, larger breeds.

While your furry friend is under our care, their health and wellbeing is our top priority. Our home is a 2 bedroom ground floor flat, where we have a secure fenced garden which is mostly patio but has a small grassy patch. Your dog will have supervised access to the garden whenever they like! Being only a stones throw away from Hollow Ponds, your pet will have ample opportunity for walking, exploring and sniffing around this vast park. Because we love nothing more than to snuggle with our furry friends, we are very relaxed about having pets on the bed/furniture! So if your pet isn't allowed on the furniture, please let us know in advance. For your peace of mind, we are also a 5 minute drive away from a 24/7 emergency veterinary practice. Please note, we are only accepting dog-friendly dogs at this time if we have bookings that overlap.

If your dog needs any medication I will need to know their schedule to be sure I have the right timings. I also need to know if there are any rules around your pet e.g. not allowed on furniture, not allowed off leash or have any allergies. I will never take a dog off leash until I have got to know them first and only if I am sure they have good recall.
A typical day
Being so close to Hollow Ponds, a popular dog walking spot with lots of space, I love to take dogs for a walk/run/play around that area. I will dedicate time in the day for quality play-time with your dog. We can work on their favourite tricks, as well as get out the snuffle mat to give them some enrichment time. While I am at home, I am usually doing chores around the house or in the office working. Your furry friend can sit with me in the office, where they will also have access to the garden for any toilet breaks or sunbathing. Oh and unlimited cuddles.

Availability
I am a freelance photographer and my partner, Luke, is a 3D designer. Luke goes into the office 3 days a week (Tues - Thurs, between 8am-7pm), my work schedule usually means I need to be on shoots for a few hours during the week, often in the late afternoon/evening. (These hours can vary). However, between me and Luke, we would never leave our dogs at home longer than 4 hours.
