Pet care experience
I have 4 years of experience walking dogs of all sizes, from chihuahuas to Bernese mountain dogs, and dropping in on cats. On walks, I stray away from other dogs and people on my route, just in case. I always give belly rubs and head scratches at the beginning and end to show how friendly I am and to let them know they're in goofs hands. For cats, I don't go looking for them too much if they are hiding. I understand I'm in their home/territory and it makes them a bit scared and nervous. I always sit on the floor and wait for them to come to me until the end of the appt for the day and I do this at every visit.

Before going on walks, I always make sure the leash/harness is secured. During the walk, I always make sure to be friendly but avoid others walking by including with dogs, just in case. When meeting a new dog, I always bend down to their level, greet them, and have them come to me as I don't want to scare them. I always let them sniff me first before anything to show I am comfortable and friendly. At the end of walks, I tend to give belly rubs and head scratches as a way of saying "good job!" and give a treat approved by the owner.

I don't have a preference for breeds as I love all dogs and cats. I ask to let me know of any special needs or behaviors that I should consider when in my care.
A typical day
On a typical day, I would let them outdoors, if able, so they can release their energy. I would play catch and do about an hour walk, or longer if possible. At home, I would put on movie and have the dog/cat lay next to me for constant light scratching and cuddles, if they allow. With cats, I'm always trying to play with them with their cat toys but if one is not in a playful mood, I love them be.

Availability
I have a full time job Monday-Friday, and looking to walk dogs and pay visits with cats after or around my work hours and on the weekends. I am also flexible with pet visits if needing to feed in the middle of the day or whatever the case may be.
