This is my first time using Rover for sitting. Jasmine agreed to host our dog, Duke, over the Christmas holiday. She allowed me to visit her place and bring Duke over before the actual stay, so that I could introduce Duke to her and her apartment. I liked that she has an elevator, as Duke is old and isn't great with stairs. Note: If you use Google maps to get to her place, it may take you to South Boston, and not the South end, as there are two places with the same address in Boston. So, verify the cross streets before driving over. Second note: If your dog needs a lot of room to roam, Jasmine's place is very small. My dog sleeps most of the day, so I didn't think it would be an issue. Jasmine lives near a lot of parks, so there are many places to walk nearby. I think Jasmine did a good job taking care of Duke. He has a few meds she needed to give him and she seemed comfortable with that. She texted me a few pics of him during his 6-day stay. However, there was some confusion about how many days I'd need to reserve. I was informed by text in the middle of my vacation that if I couldn't pick Duke up by noon on Wednesday, I'd have to request an additional day on Rover. It isn't as obvious how to do this on the mobile app (I didn't have access to a computer), so I had to spend some time on Christmas day figuring this out. I was informed that noon pickup and drop off is "industry standard" but that has never been my experience using in-home sitters, as most people aren't home at noon to let me pick up my dog. I've always done this in the evenings and have never had to pay for an extra day. Once someone has your dog, of course, you're going to just pay for the extra day whether or not you think it's fair. So that was a bit of a sour note that could have been avoided by better communication. A learning experience for us both, I guess.

Jasmine was awesome. She is very knowledgeable about dogs and was kind and caring with our senior pup!
