I grew up in a boarding home of sorts; my parents were always hosting visitors and renters in our empty bedrooms. Over the years, I learned a lot from the people who stayed with us, including how to be a wise, helpful, and caring visitor in a home that is not my own. I learned the importance of taking care of appliances, maintaining a clean/orderly environment, turning lights off, conserving water, and monitoring the windows/doors, and always being attentive to the requests of the homeowner. I believe a home is a sacred space to be guarded and delighted in, and therefore, I will, with the upmost respect and joy, take special care of your home while you are away!
