Young professional who loves pets!

Pet care experience

I've helped care for 2 dogs and 2 cats since I was 9 years old. While our love for animals led my older sister to become a veterinarian, I strive to care for dogs and cats in any way I can. Neighbors have entrusted me to walk and feed their pets for years. Meanwhile, I've gained some experience caring for a high-anxiety (orally medicated) family dog. All this to say, I will love your pets as if they were my own.

Safety, trust & environment

I am happy to feed, walk, and play with your dog or cat as often as they need it! Though I am unable to board pets at my home, I will safely enter your home at your recommended times to align with your pets' normal routine. If your animals require an oral medication, I am comfortable applying this. I have experience with liquid medications and pills - just let me know if your pets require any coaxing (peanut butter or other tasty treat). I also have experience with cats on special diets, so please let me know of any unique dietary requirements and I will be glad to fix up a healthy meal during the drop in visits. I can bring along some extra waste bags to clean up after your dogs on walks or for scooping your litter boxes. In the end of the visit, I will be sure your animals are comfortable and safe with some fresh water in the house (or a crate if needed) before carefully locking up and departing. If you need a walk, be sure to book that and not a drop in visit (which does NOT include a walk). A walk, similarly, does not usually include feeding, meds, or a potty break.

Information Jared M. would like to know about your pet

Please let me know in advance if your pet has any special needs, medicines, dietary requirements, allergies, or incontinence. Also please keep me aware of any behavioral issues. The more we share on expectations in advance, the happier your furry family will be.

A typical day

If you live near a park, I always bring along a tennis ball to play some fetch. If not, I try to keep your dog stimulated with the sights and sounds of the neighborhood. I am happy to use any of your toys at home as well.
