Pet care experience
I grew-up in New Hampshire in a house with my parents, my sister, and my two dogs, one beautiful collie named Elvis who passed away in 2012, and a golden retriever boxer named Piper who is now 11. I have always loved dogs and taking care of them. Whether it be going for walks, playing ball, fetch or tug-of-war, or being there for my doggos no matter the circumstances when they needed my love and attention the most. I moved to Austin in June 2021 for work and am not yet ready to commit to adopting a dog, so I have been fostering dogs and dog sitting with Rover in the meantime. Whether your dog is chill and just wants to lounge or your dog is a high maintenance senior with medical complications or a puppy with lots of energy. I am versatile and am ready to take care of your doggo and meet their needs. If your dog is not friendly with other dogs, please note that I am not always fostering, so it is possible that I would be able to take your doggo under my wing. As of now, I am not currently fostering a dog (January 2021).

I live alone in a large 1-bedroom apartment. My apartment complex is incredibly pet friendly and there is ample space around the complex to go for walks and gated areas to play fetch and ball as well. When I am fostering or watching dogs, I will let the dog sleep in my bed with me. I typically do not like to crate my dogs, but if necessary and/or requested by a client, am able to do so. I also have a gated area in my apartment.

Let me know if your dog has any special needs or behaviors I need to account for. My recommendation to clients is to write-up a document with all of the care instructions and other tad bits of information about your dog, so that I know how to care for your doggo and can make sure that they get the best care possible while you are away! If your dog has the tendency to destroy or scratch at things when left home alone (sometimes I need to leave for a few hours at a time to go grocery shopping, see friends, etc.), I kindly ask that you bring a crate for you dog. This ensures that your dog will not destroy anything when I am gone.
A typical day
I love to brings my dogs with me wherever I go and love hanging with the doggos when I am with friends. Of course, if your dog is anxious or does not like being with other people, we can do other activities, like going for walks or playing a game in the gated area of my apartment complex. Sometimes on the weekends, if time permits, we can go on mini hikes and nature walks in the Austin area.

Availability
I currently work full-time but work from home (At some point I will be returning to the office full-time but not sure when) I always have time during the day to take care of my dogs. I love keeping my doggos company and making sure they don't get lonely. I also love going for brisk walks during my breaks during the day with the dogs.
