Pet care experience
I do this as a hobby because I love animals and I’d be more than happy to care for yours! Please do not send me a request after sending out multiple requests to other area sitters. I’m not interested in a bidding war. If you are looking for “the lowest price” or the “first to respond” as your sole search criteria, please exclude me from your search. Thank you for being respectful. Dogs: I am comfortable around all breeds and sizes. I have experience around many dogs, including several I have owned/lived with: American Eskimo, Japanese Spitz, Beagle, Border Colley and Red-nosed Pit. No dog scares me and I am more than happy to play with them (gently or more rough). I am ok with play-biting. I am very familiar with dog psychology and body language, having never been attacked. I even have experience breaking up big-dog fights! Unfortunately, due to our living arrangements I can’t take dogs over 50 lbs. Cats: I have owned two cats and helped a family of barn cats survive a bitterly cold winter. I have experience with more social and more individualistic cats. I am also quite familiar with cat psychology and body language (which is very different from dogs). I will not assault your cat with abrupt or unruly interactions more appropriate for dogs. Health Note: 100% of our household is fully vaccinated (covid and flu shots!) I work a hybrid remote work schedule, which gives me some flexibility. My wife works, but is also often home. Between the two of us, there is usually someone home, or at least close by. There is always someone around to care for/keep an eye on your pet! We live in a fairly spacious apartment (1,000 sq/ft). There is a lot of space outdoors, but no fenced yard (just a fenced patio). The property is located at the end of a dead end road, surrounded by a golf course and bordered by the Jordan River Trail. We can offer as much activity outdoors as your animal needs, or keep them inside.
Reviews
Jared completed the kitty care tasks, sent pictures and showed up when he needed to. Our house looked great upon our return. My only reason for concern was he only stayed 15 minutes instead of the required 30. Neither time was he ‘able’ to locate and give our kitty love, the main reason for stopping in.
We were extremely happy with Jared’s care and love of our puppy. Thank you so much for letting us have a fun weekend, knowing Tucker was in good, experienced hands. ?
Our dogs liked Jared as soon as they met him. He took very good care of our dogs.
Jared communicated well and took great care of my pup who doesn’t do well with other dogs. He sent photo updates and was flexible with pick up when my plans changed.

Information Jared A. would like to know about your pet
I need a dog that is house trained and has decent manners around people if coming to my home. If I’m going to your place, I’m pretty much open for anything, unless general safety is a concern.
A typical day
When I work from home, I can keep an eye on dogs throughout the day and give them a mid day walk in addition to either morning or afternoon. I tend to walk my clients’ dogs on trails, parks/schools, residential areas around where I live. I base the distance on the dog’s ability and willingness to go. Whether that be around the block or several miles. I avoid high-traffic, commercial, industrial, and other dangerous areas. I am very familiar with the area and good about avoiding vicious dogs or other dangers.
