Hi, my name is Janine. I have been working with animals for quite some time. I was employed as a professional dog walker/pet sitter but I recently decided to branch out and build my own business instead. Up until that point, I was using Rover only part time for a few months but my goal is for it to eventually be full time. I’ve used Rover in the past and thought it’d be a great way to build a solid clientele. I also used to work at a cat shelter. I’ve always had a huge passion for working with animals. I’ve had pets of my own since I was a kid and I couldn’t imagine my life without them. I currently have a dog and a cat who are best friends and I have lots of fish. I have experience administering and injecting medication to cats and dogs and taking care of senior pets and pets with special needs. I’ve taken care of chickens as well. I am dog and cat CPR and first aid certified so you never have to worry about your pets’ safety. I can assure you that your pets will always be in loving hands! I send lots of pictures to reassure owners even further.

Janine was amazing with my one year old chocolate lab, Leroy. I could tell right away that Leroy adored her and that he was in good hands. She sent pictures of him during their adventurous walks and she even let me know after he was fed and when he was snoozing in his bed. It was everything I needed to feel comfortable from being away from him. Just an all around great experience using Janine and I will definitely be using her again.
So very thankful for Janine!! I was caught at the last minute needing a dog walker and she responded almost immediately and was able to help me out! My dog seemed to absolutely love his time with her and relaxed/snoozed quite contently in his crate afterwards. Definitely recommend!
Janine was fabulous with our dog, Trek. Trek was a little skittish at first, but Janine was not deterred. She not only gave her top-notch care, but made Trek feel at ease and comfortable. We're grateful to have Janine for future drop-in visits and I would not hesitate to book her for longer-term care.
Janine was very conscientious when taking care of my cat on overnights. She send multiple photos with comments which put me at ease. She followed my instructions very well. My house seems to be a bit cleaner than when I left it too.

A typical day
I enjoy playing fetch with dogs and playing with cats with their toys. I also have fun taking dogs to different trails and walking them on the beach. I love nature. I even walk my own cat along my street from time to time which is also very fun. I love snuggling with pets and giving them lots of love and attention too.

Availability
I’m currently dedicating almost all of my time to creating a pet care business. I have been slowly building a clientele and my availability is pretty flexible. I walk a handful of dogs throughout the week. The longest day of dog walks I do are between the hours of 10:30am and 2:30pm but it varies everyday, that’s only a couple days out of the week. There are days that I only walk dogs for a couple hours per day. None of my clients are strict about times either. I would really love to add some new dog walking clients! I have a good amount of clients who I do drop-ins for and overnights as well but I can reserve days for you if you give me enough notice! I don’t have too many drop-ins or overnights scheduled as of right now. I am currently available every day of the week including weekends. If you reach out, we can work together to find a time that’s best for both of us! I can also be available on certain holidays.
