Hi, my name is Janine. I have been working with animals for quite some time. I was employed as a professional dog walker/pet sitter but I recently decided to branch out and build my own business instead. Up until that point, I was using Rover only part time for a few months but my goal is for it to eventually be full time. I’ve used Rover in the past and thought it’d be a great way to build a solid clientele. I also used to work at a cat shelter. I’ve always had a huge passion for working with animals. I’ve had pets of my own since I was a kid and I couldn’t imagine my life without them. I currently have a dog and a cat who are best friends and I have lots of fish. I have experience administering and injecting medication to cats and dogs and taking care of senior pets and pets with special needs. I’ve taken care of bunnies and chickens as well. I am dog and cat CPR and first aid certified so you never have to worry about your pets’ safety. I can assure you that your pets will always be in loving hands! I send lots of pictures to reassure owners even further.

This was our first time hiring someone through Rover to care for our dogs. Janine did a great job watching our two dachshunds. We have a slightly anxious 3 year old and an elderly 16 year old and Janine met their individual needs, even helping the older one down off and back on the deck since he can't do stairs anymore. She shared info on her visits and sent such cute pictures, we knew they were in good hands. So happy to have found someone locally that we feel we can trust with our pups!
Janine is officially part of our family. Marlee and Louie were so calm and relaxed when I got home. They love her. Genuine and so much love for animals. The gold within Janine truly shines through.
Janine was an excellent house sitter / dog sitter for my dog, Hannah. She was in constant communication throughout the day and sent pictures which gave me peace of mind that my dog was well cared for. Upon return, my house was exactly as I left it (if not even cleaner!) I would gladly use Janine the next time I’m out of town!
Janine was great with our two cats. Her communication was excellent and she sent many pictures of our sweet girls. I would highly recommend her to take care of any cats. One of our cats needs meds twice a day and she was happy to help us out. I will book her again.

A typical day
I enjoy playing fetch with dogs and playing with cats with their toys. I also have fun taking dogs to different trails and walking them on the beach. I love nature. I even walk my own cat along my street from time to time which is also very fun. I love snuggling with pets and giving them lots of love and attention too.

Availability
I’m currently dedicating almost all of my time to creating a pet care business. I have been slowly building a clientele and my availability is pretty flexible. I walk a handful of dogs throughout the week. The longest day of dog walks I do are between the hours of 10:30am and 2:30pm but it varies everyday, that’s only a couple days out of the week. There are days that I only walk dogs for a couple hours per day. None of my clients are strict about times either. I would really love to add some new dog walking clients! I have a good amount of clients who I do drop-ins for and overnights as well but I can reserve days for you if you give me enough notice! I don’t have too many drop-ins or overnights scheduled as of right now. I am currently available every day of the week including weekends. If you reach out, we can work together to find a time that’s best for both of us! I can also be available on certain holidays.
